BAIOCCO, Donald “Don”
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Don, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 55 years to Rosa. Loving Dad to Antonella (Alan) Didemus, Donald (Antonietta) and Robert (Luisella). Cherished Nonno to Alexa, Eric (Jenna), Aaron, Michael, Lucas and Jack. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Marino DiMaurizio, nephews Rino (Sue) and Gino (Elfriede), sister-in-law Elisabetta (Franco) and nieces Pina and Benedetta Corazza in Italy, extended family members in Canada, the United States and in Italy, and in particular his special cousins Settimio DiPasquale, Jack Bero and Jim Bero. Predeceased by his loving parents Antonio and Luigina and loving sister Luisa.
After immigrating to Canada in 1952, Don temporarily relocated to New York State where he attended the University of Buffalo and NYU to complete his education in Civil Engineering. Upon return to Canada, he established Baiocco Construction in 1959. Don was one of the founders of Club Roma and proudly served as its first president.
While on vacation in Italy in 1963, he met and married the love of his life and they returned to Canada to begin their lives together. While he was fulfilled by his career, his true joy was spending time with his family. His loving and caring nature, his perpetual smile and kind words for every person he met will be remembered and cherished. The family would like to thank Dr. Zuliani and his staff for all of their care and compassion.

Family and friends are welcome to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines for visitation on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 1:30-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Entombment will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St., St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tender Wishes Foundation – Niagara Community.
