My condolences to the family. Linda I always looked forward to seeing you and your mom come into the office. She was always so smartly attired ! I'm sorry I wasn't able to make the visitation or funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the days to come. Anna

Dear cousins
My heart is with you and your families.
I only have good memories of aunt Alma. For me, she was a special women moving ahead in life despite the difficult events.
She was my mother’s (Simone Hurtubise) oldest sister.
I remember spending many days at my aunt’s. Deborah and I had so many discussions on facts of life until very late at night. I specially remember the way she set my hair for my prom, she took the time to make it perfect.
Je garde votre maman dans mon coeur

When I was 7 years old, Alma and I spent the day together. We had a good time doing a variety of things that I suggested. When it came time for dinner Alma suggested meatloaf. Meatloaf… I never heard of it.
Well it was a success and I thought it was great. Needless to say, we have had Alma’s meatloaf a lot since then.
I will always remember Alma for her happy spirit, her kind manner and her amazing meatloaf.
I’m sad I will never see her again but I’m glad we had good times together.

Alma was one fiesty lady right to the end. I had the pleasure of assisting her for many years. She was a very sweet lady who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She will be greatly missed by all her friends & family.

When I was a young girl, Eddy George died. Alma was left alone with four young daughters to raise
At the funeral parlor I was standing next to Alma when a man walked up to her and said, ‘Alma, what are you going to do. How are you going to manage” Her response was ‘We’ll be ok. God never gives you a burden you can’t carry”
I have always remembered this and have told others this when things were going rough for them.
It has gotten me through many hard times. I think about Alma often. She was extremely kind to me and my family.
Alma was a strong, caring, beautiful lady. Tonight, she rests in heaven. God bless her.
Linda, Marlene & Sheila,I am so sorry for your loss. You had a wonderful Mom. 'YES DEAR' you did.
