Obituary of Braden Charles Nauta
NAUTA, Braden Charles
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear child, Braden. After years of struggle, Braden lost his battle with depression on Thursday May 24th, 2018. Braden is survived by his parents, Nathan and Liz Nauta and sister Ella, grandparents Case and Gaye Nauta of Niagara on the Lake and Charles and Jayne Drake of Troy, Ohio, and great-grandparents Ralph and Tina Tamming of Waterloo. He is lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including Sarah Lipps (Patrick) of Ohio, Mike Nauta (Jen) of Wisconsin, Jon Nauta (Shannon) of Welland and Casey McCluskey (Brandon) of St. Catharines.
As we remember Braden, we think of his kind heart and quick wit, his love of music and the abounding love he had for his dog. Lake Opeongo in Algonquin Park, and the peace and solace he found there, are memories we will carry with us always. We pray that Braden’s eternity includes quiet paddles in the canoe, fishing line trailing behind.
Family, friends and guests are invited to the First Reformed Church of St. Catharines, 1136 Vansickle Rd. N. on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 for a Memorial Service at 4:00pm with visitation and fellowship to follow in the church hall from 5pm-7pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 905-937-4444. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Friends of Algonquin Park.
