Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of 67 years to Clint. Devoted mother to Brian (Sharon) and Valerie Sommer. Cherished Nan of Kelly (Dan), Vicki (Brad), Olivia and the late Claire. Great Nan to Zachary and Oliver. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and PSWs at Lookout Ridge Retirement Home for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Ginnette for being Jean's "Angel." Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, May 29 from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Jean's life will take place on Wednesday, May 30 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home ceremony room. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House (Hamilton) or McMaster Children's Hospital - Child Life Specialists.
