Obituary of George Woodrow Wilson
WILSON, George Woodrow - Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 the St Catharines Hospital at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Luisa for 48 years. Cherished father of Joseph Wilson, George Anthony Wilson and Ruth Marie (Antonis) Antoniades. Loving Grandpa of Hana and Esmeralda. Special brother of Neal (Nancy) Wilson of B.C. Predeceased by his parents George Woodrow and Lenore. George was a National representative of the Canadian Union of Public Employees. He was an avid reader. After he retired from the CUPE, George returned to University and received his Bachelor's Degree : Honors in Great Books at Brock University. A sincere thank you to Dr. Charles Whitty and Dr. Broski, as well as all of the nurses in the Dialysis Department for all of their care and compassion. Special thanks goes to all of the nurses at Extendicare. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday, May 21st from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, May 22nd at 10:30a.m. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to ONE Foundation - Renal Dialysis Department would be appreciated by the family.
