Obituary of Albert DiMaurizio
DiMaurizio, Albert - Passed away peacefully on May 9, 2018 at Linhaven Home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce (nee McKinnon - 1998), brothers Pasquale (Anna), Armando (2018); parents Domenico and Filomena; sister-in-law Elda McKinnon, brother-in-law Paul McKinnon. Devoted father to Rita Fish and Mark (Kimberly). Cherished Nonno to Jennifer, Kelsey, Natalie and Audrey. He is survived by his siblings Marino (the late Lisa), Noamia (the late Pietro), Dina (Ralph), sister-in-law Elke, Norma (Jack) Shaw, Geri (Neil) Coles, Laura Langelaan (Tony), brother-in-law Colin McKinnon, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Albert was the proud owner of The Rusty Nail Shoe Store and Repair for many years at the Grantham Plaza. He was a member of Club Roma and enjoyed to play bocce and cards with many good friends.
Family and friends are welcome to the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Friday May 11, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street on Saturday at 9:30 am with burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Rose Craig Foundation or Steve Ludzik Foundation in Albert's honour.
