My heart goes out to my "soul" family. Eleanor and her family took me in sight unseen at a critical time during high school.
The whole family made sacrifices for me that I will never forget. I learned from Eleanor that kindness and caring are such important virtues and her strength and love have rippled throughout my life.
That is also true for Jane, Malcolm and Maureen.
My heart is heavy and I can only partly share your grieving but my thoughts are with you always!
