Dave was my best friend. There are soo many of us that can say that. I loved him like the brother he was to me. Always bringing a smile, a laugh and his clever wit to any engagement. I honestly do not know one person who can speak ill of him. Selfless, honest, intuitive and brilliant. He touched soo many. Alicia asked me to call the family to let them know what he was really like for the eulogy and I failed to rise to the occasion. I feel terrible that I let my grief get in the way of letting everyone know what a shining light his soul has been on everyone he has touched. Those that know Dave knew that he wouldn't ask for help even when he needed it. He was the happiest person I knew cause his heart was full. I wish to have a sliver of the conviction and zest for life hat my brother Dave had. To his brothers, he always told me you guys were better at ball than him. Never hesitating to let us know how much he looked up to you guys. To his mother, the most important lady in his life. He had the most love for you. To all his friends who were family. We know who we are and we will never let his light run out. I'm sorry for all your losses. The world lost a great one. Until we meet again magic, I'll keep pouring u one every time I see u

Condolences to David's family. I went to Lakeport the same timing as Dave, he was a year younger than me.
I was graduating from high school and had no plans to go to prom.... no date for prom. One morning Dave sat next to me in Art class and asked me if I would go with him to prom. I was shy and Dave would make me blush every once in a while during the years at Lakeport. So sure enough we had made a double date for prom and Dave and Chris showed up at my house in a dark limo with surround underglow green lighting. I was nervous as I was pinning Dave's flower corsage to his suit. I remember that Dave was over 6 foot, and I was just over 5 foot. So the situation was a little awkward, but Dave kept smiling and laughing. I am happy that I went prom, it is one of the funnest, happy memories of my high school years. This was Dave that made this happen for me. If I remember correctly we lost eachother by the end of the night. I saw a side of Dave that evening that was kind, humorous, fun and easy to be around.
To the family, I shared this memory because Dave created an ease of atmosphere and made this shy girl enjoy her prom with his smile and jokes. I would not have attended my prom if it wasnt for Dave.
Overall when I heard that Dave had passed away, I shared this with you because the time that I had spent was not a long time. But it was enough to know that Dave is special and one of a kind. Rest in Peace David Aubin. Prayers for your family during this time of mourning.

I had the pleasure of teaching and coaching Dave at Lakeport SS. He was a tremendous athlete who excelled at volleyball, basketball and threw the shot in Track and Field. We kept in touch after his graduation from high school especially with his magic. It is with an extremely heavy heart that I am writing this. I am going to miss his generosity of spirit and awesome sense of humour. My deepest condolences to the entire Aubin family. We all lost a brother.

David was a student in my grade 5 class at Parnall P.S. He had a great spirit and loved to joke with me. He told me that he wanted to be a football player. I was so sorry to read of his passing. He was a charming young man.
