Obituary of Lawrence Smerdon
SMERDON, Lawrence Davey
Suddenly on January 19th in his 76th year.
Loving and much loved husband of Christine and father of Jim (Tracey) Smerdon and Sheila (Mark) Martel. Cherished Papa to Adrian and Chelsea Smerdon, and Michael, Kevin and Laura Martel. Larry will be sadly missed by his sister Joan Bowen, sister-in-law Eileen Andrews and by his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley Smerdon (1993).
Larry was previously employed with Foster Wheeler Ltd as a senior estimator. In his retirement, he enjoyed bowling in the Senior League at Cataract Bowl in Niagara Falls.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, January 28th at 1pm at 20 Agincourt Crescent, St. Catharines.
If desired, memorial donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
