DeVuono, Ida

 

Passed away peacefully on February 23, 2018 at 94 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Gaetano for 66 years. Loving mother of Rocco (Jill) and Rose (Mario) Battistella of Hamilton. Loving Nonna to Lisa and Gregory. Left to mourn her passing are Gina and Maria, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ida is predeceased by her sisters Raffaella of California, Erminia of Sault Ste. Marie, Maria of St. Catharines and brother Vincent of Toronto.

 

Dedicated to her family to whom she loved unconditionally, Ida was also passionate about sewing, cooking and being around her family.

 

Friends and family will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday at 3pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Tuesday, February 27 at 11am. Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. If desired, memorial donations to Hamilton Health Sciences would be appreciated by her family.

 

Ida’s family would like to offer their most sincere thanks to the staff at Orchard Terrace for their care, kindness and compassion, as well as to the staff at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
