Obituary of Isabelle "Belle" Soyka
SOYKA, Isabelle “Belle” (nee Milne)
Passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Woodlands of Sunset shortly after her 92nd birthday. Beloved wife of the late Chip (2015) for 67 years. Cherished mother of Sandy (Mark) Charlton and Steve Soyka. Loving Nannie of Stephanie (B.J.) Farr, Scott (Jasmine) Charlton and T.J. Charlton (Jem Mazzer). Nannie Belle to Jack Farr, Jude and Rex Charlton. Sister of Gladys Battle, and sister in law of Rosalie and Emily Soyka. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Belle was a very talented woman who loved to bake, cook, craft and was an exceptional seamstress. She enjoyed traveling, entertaining, dancing but most of all she loved to care for her grandchildren when they were young. Thankfully she was able to spend time with her great grandchildren.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Cedars of Woodlands of Sunset and Dr. Ali for making Mom's past year enjoyable, comfortable, compassionate and professional. Cremation has taken place.
The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 7-9p.m. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11a.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
