Obituary of Curtis "Stouty" Stoutenburg
STOUTENBURG, Curtis Don “Stouty”
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Curtis on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the age of 42. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 16 years Vicky, his adoring children Carter and Sydney and furry family members Maggie, Ronnie and Lilly. He will be dearly missed by his mom Marsha, sister Marlo and many other extended family members, friends, teammates and students.
We have now gained an angel who was the absolute BEST Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Cousin, Nephew, Teacher and Friend that anyone could ever ask for! He was the shining beacon of light of the Stoutenburg family and was truly one of a kind. Curtis LOVED cheering on Carters’ basketball team the Niagara Rangers and watching Sydney compete for Grandview Equestrian Centre. He had the BEST of friends and teammates who have stood beside each other through all of life’s events. Curtis would always look forward to vacationing at York Beach, Maine with his East coast family. He loved music and lacing them up with his buddies on the Tartan Army Hockey Team.
He is now reunited with his father, Peter, in an endless game of pick up hockey. He will be forever in our hearts.
In accordance with Curtis’ wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. A Celebration of Curtis’ Life will be held at Southridge Church, 201 Glenridge Ave., on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. An Inurnment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St., following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Pathstone Mental Health – Children with Anxiety or to a fund for Carter and Sydney.
