Henry has been my neighbour for 23 years. When I first moved in, I did not own a lawn mower and he offered me his. He diligently kept his lawn tidy and was always busy doing something in his garden. I can hear him say " You need a hand?" As he always did whenever I had a project on the go. There was no job too big or too small for Henry. he would work along side me and them exclaim " I go for a rest, close ''em up and then that's it." Every square inch of my home has Henry's imput. ....and not once did he ever stay for a beer ! He stuccoed my entire pool shed while I was at work one day. when I came home I couldn't believe what a wonderful job he had done. I remember with fondness his reaction when I told him what an amazing job he had done. He should have beamed with pride,,,,but so like Henry he quietly accepted my praise, and went on with his day. I will miss Henry, but as I look around I remember with fondness the many many projects we completed side by side. Henry's health was failing lately, and despite a diagnosis of cancer he remained steadfast to the end. Henry was a man of faith, and I am thankful that he was taken peacefully from this world, on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning. Henry had a tough life, and I hope that he is in a better place. Henry was a very dear friend,and he wil be missed. Sullivan Graca

My wife and I moved in beside Henry over a year ago. He was a neighbour who watched out for us and had helpful suggestions. He always had a word of advice. He enjoyed being outside caring for his lawn and garden. He really wanted his house to look neat and tidy. He was a kind and thoughtful neighbour and will be greatly missed! Stephen & Cindy

I have been a friend and neighbour to Henry for nearly 23 years. Over the years I became accustomed to his frequent visits. He always had the latest news to report, and of course could give me the weather forecast days in advance. He lovingly tended to his yard and his garden,and we he frequently shared the vegetables he so lovingly tended to. Henry was always around to help, no matter what job we were doing,and always came prepared in his work clothes.. I am saddened that he died by himself, alone, as he was most of his life. But, I am comforted that he died peacefully ....in his own way. I had grown accustomed to his impromptu visits, and I will miss him very much. Rest in peace my dear friend. Catharine Graca

Heartfelt condolences to all of Henry's family. I met Henry just a couple of years ago through a mutual friend while working at MacDonalds. Henry routinely visited the restaurant to have a coffee and we would often have short conversations. His presence at the restaurant will be missed. Henry was very thoughtful, sharing a variety of excellent vegetables from his garden with me. Rest in peace Henry. Louise
