ROMAK, John
On Sunday January 21st, at the age of 96, John Romak passed away peacefully at Henley House. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Phyllis (nee Lastewka) and children John (Linda), Patt (Gord), Joanne (Kevin), Michele (Brian) and Marianne. Sadly predeceased by son Greg and grandson Derek. John and Phyllis created a large family, with 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. There was nothing John loved more than a newborn on his lap and being at the centre of his big, loving family. John worked at General Motors for over 30 years. His real passion, however, was fixing cars and running his small farm, complete with grapes, chickens and a cow. We feel tremendous gratitude to the warm people at Henley House for their exceptional care.
Family, friends and guests are welcomed to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, January 26th, 2018 for a public visitation from 5pm-8pm with Panachyda at 7:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Ukrainian Church, 91 Lakeshore Drive, St. Catharines on Saturday, January 27th, 2018 at 10:00am with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, 432 Queenston St.
