Obituary of Joseph Michael Curtis
CURTIS, Joseph - Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side on Monday, January 8th, 2018 at the Henley House at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Anne for 55 years. Cherished father of Joanne (Ron) Meighan, Debbie (Drew) Scott and Sandra (Mark) Fehr. Loving Grandpa of Kari, Curtis, Jordan, Emily, Matthew and Nikolas. Cherished brother of Henry (Carolyn) Curtis. Brother in law of Fred O'Donnell, Carol Vriens and Gary Deslaurier. Joseph is predeceased by his sisters Theresa, Mary and Veronica and his brothers Edward and Mike. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Joseph was employed at the Niagara Parks Commission for 10 years and at G.M. for 31 years. A sincere thank you to all of the staff at the Henley House for all of their care and compassion and for being like family to him. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, January 12th from 2-4p.m. A Celebration of Joseph's Life will follow at 4p.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Stamford Centre Volunteer Fireman's Association or the Parkinson's Foundation.
