I just googled Pam because I was planning a rare trip to St. Catharines and I hadn't seen Pam for decades. What a shockingly sad surprise to see her obituary.
I am glad to see that Pam was so well loved and appreciated. Even as a teenager she had a passion for life combined with a memorable depth and soulfulness.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences for such a great loss.
God bless you, Pam.

I am very sorry to read this news. My sincere condolences to her family. I knew her many years ago as Mrs. Cook. One of the good ones, who you could just tell were meant to teach. She was such a wonderful lady. Very warm and kind, always greeted others with a sincere smile and a thoughtful comment. She had a sharp mind and good sense of humour. A great laugh also. I know she will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Brian we are so very sorry to hear of Pam’s passing. In fact I only just now heard about it through a friend. We are so very saddened by this tragic news. Our hearts go out to you and the family Brian. Just remember her spirit will always be with you as she is singing with the other angels up in heaven while she watches over you until you meet again.
Very sad now that life got in the way of our song circles and the time we spent enjoying music together with friends like you and Pam. Sorry we missed the funeral. If we’d known we would have been there. Rest In Peace dear sweet Pam.

So sad to hear that Pam has left us. Her vibrant energy and dazzling smile is a loss to all who knew her. Pam use to be the secretary at Alexandra school and helped soothe my anxiety when I was called to the principles office which happened on a few occasions. She had a way of making all the students feel like that everything was going to be ok. Due to our music connections we connected many years later after she met Brian and I also married an Irish man. We talked of our many trips back to Ireland and times when we lived there.
My parents and my step father Peter Chess were also friends and with some of Pams sisters. Peter played great balls of fire to Pam on the Piano when she was 12 yrs and she always told him that was her first time she heard rock in roll. It's was at the Rigby's house after Sir Winston won the football championships.
Our thoughts are with your families. Belinda and family xox

I'm sorry but this condolence note is separate from the photo I posted earlier. My original one got lost in cyber space!
Terry-he and I want to connect with the Daniels/Rigby families even though we didn't know Pam very well. However, our families created wonderful memories together over the years so we did meet Pam once or twice. When I saw the canoe bow picture above (I'm assuming it is Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park) I immediately thought of the photo our son-in-law took of Queen Mary's Hat Island at sunrise at Rock Lake where we have many family cottages. My parents, Cro and Mary Taylor, were great friends Ann and Dick's over the years - from before marriage, during child raising and beyond. I have known Tim since I was a toddler and my parents even named my brother after him! I could go on and on by the important point of this condolence note is that the world has lost an incredible spirit but I know it will live on forever in the hearts and minds of so many people. With warm thoughts, Terry-she Mactaggart

Fare Thee Well Dear Friend Pam,
We Cliffords remember you raising your children on Marlene Dr., where I was born, and we delivered your news paper and your family made an impression on us all.
Years later we would meet you with Brian and eventually strike up a band together called BORU, produce a CD, spend time in Skerrys Ireland, not necessarily in that order.
We have too many good memories to leave here on this digital page so we'll stop here and just say your life has been lived to the fullest possible, with only positive remains.
Thanks for your love dear Pam,
Mark and Beth

So hard to find the right words...truth is there are none. I can only begin to imagine the pain and loss that you are all feeling now. I hope that eventually, it will be replaced by peace and love, because truthfully it’s the love that you have for your mom and Panny that brings you this suffering. There will be joy again on the other side of this sadness.
I remember Pam as always soft, warm and welcoming...I am sorry for her passing but I know that she is in a beautiful place of freedom and love, and above all, still with you.
You are all always so much in my heart, especially now. I do wish I were there to support you. Sending the largest hugs possible...

Alan received this and it is indeed beautiful and needs to be shared:
Here is a loving message.. from the departed!
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be together...smile I'm happy...

Anyone who ever spent any time in the dining room or on the veranda at 99 Highland Avenue remembers how much fun and welcoming that house was. And so much of that warm friendly spirit came from the way Pam ran that household and raised that family. She was generous and open-hearted to everyone who had the good fortune of being welcomed into each of her children's circles (and it was a pretty motley parade that went through that house on a daily basis!). The world is a sadder place as we mourn Pam's passing right now, but it is such a better place forever for everyone who knew her.
