SINNIGE, Adrian

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 90. Beloved and devoted husband of 56 years to Nel. Loving and proud father of Laurence (Eileen), Diana and John (Amanda). Much loved Opa to Chris, Alex, Nico, Katie and Eric. Dear brother of Ed (Gerry) and Marian. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, both in Canada and in the Netherlands. Predeceased by several siblings. Adrian loved his work as a Field Worker for the Ministry of Community and Social Services. He was a longtime, devoted parishioner of St. Alfred's Church. He will be remembered for his love of family, his perseverance, his warm smile and his kind heart.  The family extends their gratitude to the CCAC homecare workers, Adrian and Nel's supportive neighbours and the staff at Henley House for their compassion and care. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, January 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Thursday, January 4 at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, 2250 Highway 20, Fonthill. Following the interment, a reception will be held in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall at the funeral home.
