DOMAGALA, Wladyslawa (Gladys) née Ziarno
Passed away peacefully on December 23, 2017. Devoted wife of the late Waclaw (Walter) Domagala. Wladyslawa will be forever missed by her daughter Mary (Scott) and son Frank (Lucy). Loving Babcia to Eric, Natalie, Frankie, Daniel and Michael. Wladyslawa is survived by her sister Bronislawa Sviergula (the late Alex), brother John (Elzbieta) of Poland and sister-in-law Elzbieta of Chicago, and is predeceased by siblings Boleslaw Ziarno (the late Hela), Zofia Brojek (the late Edward), Stanislawa Ziarno, Stanislaw Ziarno and Piotr Ziarno (the late Czeslawa). She will be remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, Poland, and the United States. Mom was an exceptional cook and caterer in the Polish and multi-cultural communities of St. Catharines. For Mom, food was love and she shared what she prepared generously with family and friends. Faith was very important in mom’s life. Wladyslawa was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, The Rosary Society, and St. Cecylia’s Choir for over 40 years. Wladyslawa was a member of the Canadian Polish Legion Branch 418 and she shared her love of Polish culture with those around her. Friends, family and guests are welcomed to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm with Rosary being recited at 3:00pm. Funeral Liturgy will be on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St., St. Catharines with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family.
