Despite the distance Mary, Georgie and I shared so many of life’s experiences over many years. We spent some time with her and Bill recently and it was just great reminiscing, particularly the younger years back in Scotland.
Love you Mary

Carole, i am so sorry to hear the news of your mother's passing, and as much as i didn't know your mum, i know the very caring, beautifully kind person she raised. Someone told me when my mum passed "your the lady your mum raised" in this Carole your mum was a great lady. May god give you stength when you need it at this sad time, and if there is anything i can do, please let me know xx

Mary was my Godmother (and never forgave me when I grew up and stopped calling her Auntie Mary!). I still have so many memories of her back in Scotland in the 1970's when I must have only been 5 or 6, She was such a bright and colourful character, never shy of telling you what she thought of the situation.
Once I grew up I only saw her once every so often when she visited Scotland and I was always amazed that her Scottish accent was still so strong after all those years, stronger than mine even.
I was so happy that I could visit her and Bill with my family last year at their home in St Catherines.
We will all miss her so much.

To a mother that would have done anything for me. I love you very much. I know you are watching over us now. Take peace in the fact that you lead a great life and taught us well. We love you so, so much. And from the little 6 year old me, I still remember getting stuck in the lift in Goldberg's in Glasgow when I was young. You walked out first and the big gate closed behind you and locked me in. I was very quiet, and as you waited outside the door for them to get me out, you said I just said quietly, 'Are you still there Mummy'? Well I find myself saying that now! I know you are in heaven...love you mummy, Carole
