IVES, Robert Owen Gregory "Bob"

Passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Karen for 48 years. Loving father of Cheryl (Alain Gaudrault), Kimberly (Jeff) Black, Robyn (Glen) Suzuki and Michael (Alyssa Hughes). Cherished Grandpa to Justin, Tyler, Blaise and Sabine. He will be dearly missed by his mother Dorothea, siblings Julie (Roger) Wolski, Bill (Joanna), Mary Kay (Michael) Griffin, Penny Kreamer (David), Laurie (Randy) Allison, Colleen (Greg) and Tim (Anita), many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Predeceased by his father William. A special thank you to sister-in-law Jean Koski and Aunt Margarita Ives. Bob had a long career as an Air Traffic Controller working in North Bay and Toronto. He was a proud member of the Optimist Club for over 45 years, where he served his community and made many lasting and cherished friendships. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 316 Queenston St, St. Catharines, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow Mass. Memorial donations may be made to the Optimist International Foundation Canada.
