To Joanne and family;
Heather and I are very saddened by the loss of Heinz. For many years we had the privilege of being called friends. We have many fond memories of our times with him both in and out of the lacrosse community but sadly after our move to the west, we as many friends do lose touch with each other.
Our sympathy goes out to your family and all those who loved him dearly.
Sincerely,
Tom and Heather Dearborn

You know the kind of person that exudes energy. The kind of energy you want to be around. He would laugh and you couldn't help but join in. I fondly remember painting his toenails rainbow colours as he unknowingly napped by the pool. Replacing his salad dressing with an unappetizing flavour of baby food as he took his lunch to work. Soaking his work clothes in perfume..... ok that time he was quite upset Lol. He had to return home to change. Heinz was such a great uncle and an all round good person. We will miss you!

Heinz and I played lacrosse together and grew up together in Port.Heinz always was smiling and always had a twinkle in his eye . Even though I left Port at 18 never forgot him and we were just reconnecting over the last couple of years and he was still the same great guy I knew as a kid . I can only express my deepest sympathies and condolences to Heinzs family. He will be missed always but never forgotten as he will be in our hearts forever

I will miss his festive friendly spirit, his unique laugh, his love of dance, our conversations, his amazingly delicious cooking ( sausages, schnitzel), and his potent gin and tonic cocktails. But most of all I will miss his welcoming friendly manner...always ready to have a good time and enjoy life.
It has been our family's pleasure to have been a part of Heinz's life.

This is crazy Hino,
I just want you to know I’m so sorry
I’m sorry that this happened
I’m sorry that I couldn’t see you to say goodbye
I’m sorry that your toe nails aren’t painted pretty colors and that your lunches aren’t half as good as I used to make them.
I’m sorry that you were scared
I’m sorry that you suffered
Please know that I’m your number one fan.
Your one amazing uncle, father, and friend.
Our relationship has always been special,
I remember being a young girl and pretending to hate you persistently bugging me .... But in actuality I always looked forward to it !!
Growing older you always looked out for me you could read me like a book ... pulling me outside to get air just making sure I was ok ....always putting a smile back on my face.
I’m sad that you had no choice but to miss our big day, and now that you will never get the chance to meet our daughter!
I know you will be her guardian Angel (you better be) making sure she get’s married to a man just like Mario... lol
I will be sure to teach her how to paint toe nails and toilet paper my dads car when he’s sleeping.... I promise lol
We know you will be watching us and guiding us along the rest of our journey ...until we meet again my Hino.

To Mrs. Pietsch, Katrina and family,
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences for the loss of your Heinz.
He was a sweet boy growing up with us in Port Dalhousie, and served Star of the Sea as an altar boy with my brothers.
Heinz is also remembered by my husband Bob Croft as a great supervisor at General Motors.
I'm sure he is at peace in heaven with his dad.
Sincerely,
Bob and Peggy Croft
