My sincerest condolences to the Arksey family. I got to know Fred by working with him at the paper mill and he was certainly one of the most pleasant person I have ever worked with.He was a happy go lucky type of guy with a very high work ethic. I am honoured to have shared time with this fine man and will surely miss his occasional visits at the mill.Rest in peace and god bless.

We are so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He was a good friend of my father Doug Nolan. I remember the Christmas parties at our house. Fred and his wife would be there. I looked forward to seeing Fred whenever possible. In the later years on Labour Day he would be one of the first people I would seek out. My heart and thoughts go out to his family at this time. He truly was a friend to me. R.I.P Fred. You will be missed. <3

It is with great sadness that we have learned of Fred's passing. He was a true gentleman with a huge heart who would think nothing of putting others ahead of himself. His many attributes live on in his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Bev and her family, with Pat, Randy and Lauren, and with Tara and Cathy and their families.

Our deepest condolences to Bev and the Arksey family. We will always remember Fred with the fondest of memories. Fred and Bev were the first people we met on our first day at Bissell's. It was our first time at camping and Fred helped us set our trailer up on our site, giving us the inside scoop on all the do's and the don'ts. They made us feel like long lost friends from the very start and they didn't stop there. Fred also helped us build our deck without us even asking. That's just the kind of neighbours they were. They were not just neighbours, they became great friends.
We will miss Fred greatly.
