Surrounded by family love and faith, passed peacefully Sunday, October 8, 2017 in her 93rd year. Wife of the late John Baranek (2007). Adored mother of Lorraine, Richard, John, Caroline, Christopher, Francine, Stanley and the late Daniel (1998) and Baby (1956). Adored Babcia of Adrian, Katrina, Jonah, Daniel and Megan. Great Babcia of Autumn. Sister in-law to Helen Olech, Josephine Baranek, Jennie Janik, Eliza (Joseph) Klimeczko and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Edward Olech, Joseph Baranek, Chester Janik, Raymond, Emily Nowaczyk and John Krawtchuk. Mary Anne was a member of St. Aloysius, whose devotion and faith was an inspiration to us all. Special thank you to Father Richard (Star of the Sea), Father Goodwin and Father Ben. Mary Anne was born in Zamość, Poland. Daughter of Stanley and Francis Olech, the family settled in Windsor, Ontario. After marriage to John, Mary Anne moved to St. Catharines, raising a family on the Baranek farm. Mary Anne will be remembered for her excellent cooking and selfless devotion to her family and faith. "O God before I sleep I remember before you all the people I love and now in the silence I say their names to you. All the people who are sad and lonely, old and forgotten, poor and hungry and cold, in pain of body and in distress of mind. Bless all who specially need your blessing and bless me too and make this a good night for me. Amen." Now we all have our own personal guardian angel.
