Obituary of John Gauthier

GAUTHIER, John Marc

Passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in his 95th year. Loving husband of the late Angela (1999). Dear father of Brian and step father to Bob (Pat) Poe. Grandfather of Rob and Char. Survived by his sister Giselle and brother Donald (Sheila) and many nieces and nephews. John was born and raised in Cochrane Ontario. From 1941 to 1945 he served with the RCAF in the ground crews supporting fighter aircraft. In 1955 John and Angela moved to St. Catharines where he became a well known fixture behind the meat counter at Dominion and later A&P until his retirement in 1988. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 10- 11 a.m. A Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. A Rite of Committal will take place at 1 p.m. at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St., St. Catharines.
