WELGAN, Mike

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Mike had just recently celebrated his 90th birthday with his family. Beloved Husband of Irene (nee Stanek) for over 50 years. Loving Dad to Dianne (Alex) and Kim (Rob). Cherished Eepa to Mackenzie, Kendra and Alyona. Mike will be dearly missed by his brother Tony (Marianne) and sister Vera as well as his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Joe. Mike’s passion for electronics led him to creating Welgan’s TV and electronics, a well-known business in St. Catharines for over 40 years and sold the first colour television in the city. Upon his retirement Mike enjoyed the company of his beloved dog Red and his garden. A private family service has taken place. Donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
