Obituary of Aubrey Willis Lytle
LYTLE, Aubrey Willis
Beloved husband of Barbara, father of Lori and Angela, father-in-law to Matthew and Johar, Aubrey transitioned into his next great adventure on September 7, 2017, surrounded by love. His family continues to be sustained by the great love he bore them. No memorial services are planned at this time: please post messages for the family on this memorial page. In particular, they invite you to share special memories of Aubrey’s love and care.
Donations in Aubrey’s memory
Everyone who knew Aubrey was touched by his generosity and sincerity, and his quiet way of offering steadfast support where it was needed. One of the defining features of Aubrey’s life was a profound love of and respect for women. He unconditionally supported his wife and daughters in all their dreams, ambitions, joys and sorrows, and in particular, always encouraged his daughters to fly free with no limitations, revelling in their adventures. Out of the eye of the public, Aubrey also stepped up to stand with women in his life: friends, family, or friends of his beloved wife and daughters, who were in situations of precarity, violence, or struggling through the justice system. Aubrey also valued local, grassroots organizations making a direct difference in people’s lives. Accordingly, the family requests any donations made in Aubrey’s name to be given to the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic in Toronto, which supports women facing violence with an incredible array of support services.
