Obituary of Darcy Joseph Patrick
Patrick, Darcy - Passed away peacefully on Sunday August 27, 2017 at St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 83 years. Loving husband and soul mate to Mary Frances (nee Birdgeneau) for 60 years. Devoted father to Dan (Marlene), Kelly, Mark (Hilary), Marty (Janice), Shane (Nawaz), Joel, and Darcy (Sherri). Cherished Grandpa to Melony (Rueben), Maria (Jason), Jamie (Laura), Holly (Rob), James, Adam, and Dylan. Beloved Great Grandpa to Courtneay, Kaitlan, Lindsay, Jenna, Kylie and Jack. Survived by his siblings Aubrey, Barry, Mike (Linda), Brian (Judy), Judy, Gerald, Ronnie (Valerie), Jack, and Eileen. Will be sadly missed by many loving family members Pete (Pat) Birdgeneau and close friends Fay and Joe Elliott and Barb Tess. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Dorothy, sons Darcy and Darren, brother Bernard, sisters Theresa, Yvonne, Patricia, brother-in-law Jack and sister-in-law Fern. Darcy was employed at General Motors for over 40 years. During his retirement years, he was very invovled with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Naujeet Sangha and the nursing staff at 3B at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their care and compassion.
Arrangements are entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home, 905-937-4444. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to charity of one's choice.
