Obituary of Joseph "Joe" William Sheehan

SHEEHAN, Joseph William
 
Joe passed away after a brief hospitalization on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in his 96th year. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 70 years, Marie, his loving children Michael, Howard, Paul and Linda as well as his adoring grandchildren Leah, Galen, Melissa and Stacey.
 
Joe was employed by General Motors as a cost accountant for 37 years. He retired from the Central Engineering Department in 1987. In World War II, Joe served throughout Europe with the 23rd Field Regiment (SP) RCA, part of the 4th Canadian Armoured Division. After the war, he served for a period of time with the Canadian Army Occupation Force in Oldenburg, Germany. Upon returning to Canada, Joe married Marie, the girl next door. He was devoted to his family and very proud of his children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments.
 
A Private Family Service has taken place. Arrangements were entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, (905) 937-4444. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NHS-St. Catharines Site.
