It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed, on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at the age of 74. He will be dearly missed by his Wife Marion, his sons Brian (Denise), Robert (Cathy) and Paul (Saundra). Proud Grandpa to Jacob, Alison, Alex and Kyle. Predeceased by his parents John and Helen Kocsis and his brother Nick. After graduating from Queen’s University with a Mechanical Engineering Degree, Ed worked at General Motors for 35 years, retired in 2001 and devoted his entire life to his family and friends. In accordance to Ed’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place at 3 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 73 Picton St, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. An Inurnment will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
