Obituary of Celeste Tassillo

We are sad to announce the passing of Celeste Tassillo at Meadows of Dorchester at the age of 82. She is now reunited with her loving husband Giuseppe and her son Nick. Beloved mother of Gabriella and beautiful Nonna to Lorraine, Amanda, Sarah and Kristen. Survived by her sister Elena and brother-in-law Aldo Morlacchetti and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her friends and extended family. Celeste was an active member of St. Alfred’s Church, participating in the CWL and choir. She was an avid gardener who was known for her love of roses. 

Family and friends will be welcomed at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers will be recited on Friday at 3pm in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. Alfred’s Church, 272 Vine St., at 10:00am.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Meadows of Dorchester would be greatly appreciated by the family.
