Obituary of Eugenio Di Girolamo

DI GIROLAMO, Eugenio It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving man on Sunday, March 26, 2017 surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved Husband for 58 years to Ines. Devoted Papa to Anna and Albert. Eugenio will be dearly missed by his loving sister Maria of Italy, brother in law Pietro (Maria) Mirabella of St. Catharines and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving parents Filomena and Clemente. Eugenio was employed at the Hotel Dieu Hospital for 26 years where he made many friends as his job took him throughout the hospital. Thank you to Dr. John Taliano his family physician, Dr. Qawi and all the Nurses at the Walker Family Cancer Center, for their care and compassion. A special thank you to his niece Sabina for all her help. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held in the visitation room on Tuesday at 3 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. A Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Pleasantview Memorial Garden, Hwy 20, Fonthill. Memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Center at the family’s request.
