Obituary of Michael Hirniak

Hirniak, Michael - Unexpectedly, in the presence of his loving family on March 13, 2017 at the NHS - St. Catharines Site at the age of 61 years. Will be sadly missed by his wife Lisa of 32 years. Survived by his children Michael Lee (Khanisa), Nicole (Robin), Karl (April), Nicholas (Alexandra) and Christopher (Jessica). Grandpa to Sophie, Britni, Paige, Kaden, Cole, Clayton, Kasey, Kaleb, Ivy, Ella, Oliver and Alice. Great Grandpa to Carson. Survived by his mother Julia and the late Roman (2008), his brother Terry, nephews Peter, Terry Jr. and niece Sarah. Son-in-law to Sam and Audrey Tiffney.Brother-in law to Chris (Karen) Tiffney. Michael worked at General Motors for 33 years and retired in 2008. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and spending time with his friends. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, on Thursday from 5-8 pm. Divine liturgy will be held at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 14 Rolls Avenue on Friday at 11 am with burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association.
