Obituary of Yue Kam Seto
Yue Kam Seto passed away peacefully on Sunday February 05, 2017, at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario. Kam was born on August 27, 1942. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Saturday February 18, 2017 at George Darte Funeral Home in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Kam was born in Kaiping, China. She married the love of her life, Yau Szeto, in 1969 and together they owned Happy Garden Restaurant in St. Catharines, Ontario. They worked beside each other for more than 20 years. Cooking was a passion of hers and each day she went to work with a smile. She had a natural talent for gardening, showing with pride her beautiful plants she started from a piece she found on the floor at the local Home Depot Store. Kam was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others.
She was predeceased by her parents May York and Loy Hai (Kwan) Tse, siblings Yue Gee, Siu Wu and Siu Chai Tse, and daughter Elizabeth Seto.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her devoted husband of 47 years, Yau Szeto: son John (Cindy), daughters May, and Rose (Wayne); grandson James Seto, and brother Siu Yi Tse along with many cousins; nieces and nephews; and her numerous loving family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Oncology Palliative Care staff at Trillium Health Partners-Credit Valley Hospital for their support in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Niagara.
