Obituary of Pamela Dawn O'Neil

O'NEIL, Pamela Dawn Passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert (2014). Loving mother of Dawn (Douglas) Baird of Rockland and Mark (Lorrie) of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Much loved Nana of Corey (Heidi) Baird, Kelly (Chris) Green, of Rockland and Jeffery O’Neil of Niagara Falls. Great Nana of Liam, Dylan, Cameron, Ella & Abagail. Pamela is also survived by her sister Denise, her brother David, of England and members of the O'Neil family in Eastern and Western Canada. Born in Weymouth, England in 1929; Pam met Bob in 1955 and were married on Christmas Eve in Portsmouth, England. Along with their family, Pam and Bob travelled back and forth between England and Canada and eventually settled in the Niagara Region in 1974. She was a member of the Niagara Falls Lawn Bowling Club, Pla-Mor Lanes, Mixed and Senior Bowling League and had a fondness for Bridge. Pam was an avid seamstress and worked various retail jobs in Ladies Wear. She also loved gardening, travelling and hosting parties. Pam will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Monday, February 6 from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Pamela's life will take place on Tuesday, February 7 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. “Pamela's spirit will live on forever.”
