Margaret Pividor

Obituary of Margaret Joyce Pividor

After a short battle with cancer, Margaret Joyce Pividor (née Aylmore) peacefully died in the early morning of January 7, 2017. Margaret will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend Graziano, and their precious children, Kimberley and Ashley. Margaret will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Margaret was born on January 8, 1942 in Beddington, Sussex, England to Reginald and Alice Aylmore, who predeceased her. She had one older brother, Fred (Elsie); and two older sisters, Mary (Basil) and Dorothy (Jack), who all predecease her. She served in the Air Force for a little while before immigrating to Canada in her yearly 20’s. Margaret married Graziano on December 17, 1971 in Sudbury, Ontario after a 6 day whirlwind romance onboard the “Empress of Canada” and a 2 month courtship. After both children were born, the young family moved to Toronto, Ontario; where they lived for 36 years. They recently moved to St. Catharines with their puppy Charlie. A visitation will be held at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday, January 12 from 6:30-9 p.m. As Margaret loved flowers so much, flowers can be sent to the George Darte Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Margaret's life will take place at St. Columba Anglican Church, 7 St. Columba Drive, St. Catharines on Friday, January 13 at 11 a.m. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Parish Hall. A cremation will follow. As Ashley attended Silver Creek and Margaret was on the Board of Directors for 20 years, if you would like to leave a memorial donation it may be made to Silver Creek Nursery School. The family would especially like to thank the Albright Manor staff, for their loving care; and the George Darte Funeral Home, for making the arrangements. An Old Irish Blessing May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
