Obituary of Angela Maria Daniele

DANIELE, Angela Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and close friends on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Nunzio (2002). Much loved mother of Connie (Carlo) Maltese. Cherished nonna of Rosalie (Nello) Rescigno and Angela Maltese. Very proud bisnonna of Enrico, Fernanda, Carlo, Tina and Luca. Dear sister of Carmine (Maria) Daniele, of Australia, and sister-in-law of Maria (Giovanni) Credico and Mario (the late Maria) Daniele. Angela will be fondly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Lucia, her brothers Domenico, Luigi, Giovanni, Silvio and her sister Concettina. Angela was born in San Giovanni in Galdo on February 27, 1925. She and her husband moved to Argentina in search of a better life in 1952. Circumstances brought them to Canada in 1969, where they settled and planted their roots in St. Catharines. She will be remembered for her delicious meals, her green thumb, her generosity, her love of family and for always telling people "I love you too much." Many thanks to the Linhaven (Secord) staff for their dedication and support. Special thanks to Dr. Wong, nurse Olga, Melissa, Stacey and Jessica for their love and compassion toward Angela. The family appreciates all those who visited and cared for Angela. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, January 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 3 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Saturday, January 7 at 12 p.m. Entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, 2250 Highway 20, Fonthill. Memorial donations may be made to Linhaven or the Arthritis Society.
