To the members of George's family:
We were so very sorry to learn of George's passing. Our sincere condolences to you all. He is definitely missed!
We met him at Chartwell Niagara when my husband's parents (Mike and Mary D'Elia) came there to live (about 6 years ago now). George was so friendly towards all of us and certainly made our parents feel at home right away. When we visited them, we would usually chat with George as well.
Over the years, we had several opportunities for conversation and for enjoying a social event at the table together. We will always remember how he loved to watch sports on the TV, and eat his snacks of chips and pop and candies. We also remember how much he loved his music.
George was also a good roommate and friend to Robert, my deaf friend who lives there. Robert really misses George. It is not easy to be the only deaf resident at Chartwell but George somehow found a way into Robert's heart as well .
We pray God will comfort you in your loss and grant you His peace. May He give you strength for each day as you journey on from here without George. May your memories of him and with him bring you joy.
We are blessed to have known him. Second floor just doesn't seem the same without him.
Sincerely, Bonnie and Perry D'Elia

Uncle George I want to thank you for all wonderful memories, the sledding, the skating and all the times you were just being an uncle. I couldn't have asked for a better person to be a part of my life. You'll always be in my heart. I love you and you'll be greatly missed.

Melissa and family:
George was one of my favourite residents at Chateau. He always had a kind word for everyone and enjoyed showing me his good memory in asking 'how much do I have in my trust this week'. He was always correct. He spoke of you often and was very proud of you & the grandchildren. He will be missed.

George it was a pleasure meeting and knowing you, although for a short time. May you rest in peace and look down from above smiling and knowing that you are truly loved by many.

Dad, its been three days since you have been gone. My heart aches for you deeply. I know you are in a better place. No more fighting, or struggling. I love you more than words can ever describe. Please look down on us and know that we are honoured to have you as our father. Dad, dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening and always love unconditionally. Until we me again, I love you and will hold you in my heart forever.
