Obituary of Garfield Duncan Webb

WEBB, Garfield It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, friend and brother, Garfield Webb on Sunday, November 27, 2016 in his 90th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Juno, his parents George and Cora and brothers: Winston, George, Staunton and Doug. Cherished father of Duncan (Joanne), Christopher (Dany) and Vivian (Todd) Thorne. Proud and loving Afi of Kieran, Riley, Nathan, Christy (Matt), Tyler, Ryan (Anjelica), Zachary, Shaun, Bryn, Drew (Stephanie) and Beth. Great Grandpa to Colton, Chloe, Xavier and Milana. Loving brother to Mary Chudyk. Gar was a high school teacher for the Lincoln County Board of Education and loved his job for 38 years. He was an athlete and lover of many sports including golf, baseball, bowling, curling and football. He was very proud to have played for the Hamilton Tigers Football Club and became the Ti-Cats number one fan. Gar was a good neighbour and trusted friend to many. Gar was an optimist, and considered himself fortunate to have witnessed the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup 11 times, with his close friends Don and Stan, albeit the last 49 years have been a little lean. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends and family at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Sunday, December 4 from 10-11:30 a.m. A Celebration of Gar's life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
