Obituary of Gilda Cozza

COZZA, Gilda - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16th, 2016 at Chartwell Niagara at the age of 96. Loving wife of the late Luigi (1994). Dear mother of Josie "Pina" and Vince Marsico, Peter and Debbie. Loving Nonna of Steven (Cora), Gerry (Danielle), Jon (Krissy) and Chrissy (Jeff). Proud bis-Nonna of Alora, Lucas, Eli, Quinn and Jacob. Survived by family in Italy. Gilda was an avid church goer, who loved playing bingo at St. Alfred's Centre and Club Roma. She lovingly and faithfully looked after her vegetable garden. Her greatest pleasure was her family. A special thank you to all the staff at Chartwell Niagara, for their excellent care, kindness, support and for treating mom as a member of their family. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street St. Catharines, on Sunday, November 20th from 4-8p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place at 5:30p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Monday, November 21st at 11a.m. Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Chartwell Niagara Resident Fund would be appreciated by the family.
