We were out of the country when we received the news of Pat's passing. Pat and our Dad first met in WWII and became lifelong friends. Our families grew up visiting Pat and his family in Niagara; and Dad and Pat had an amazing friendship that continued long after our dad's passing in 2009. Pat and my mom Joyce continued to stay in touch until she too passed . I always called Pat on his birthday and then again on Remembrance Day to "thank " him for his service. He was a loving and compassionate man and whenever we visited the Niagara Region or were back in Ontario the trip was not complete without a visit to Pat's to see his garden or to sample his wine or to drop off a goody package and enjoy his company.
This year, Beaverton, Ontario Legion launched a new initiative to honor veterans. Our father, (Harry Miller)'s banner waves proudly on their main street . The opportunity came early in November to say a few words about our dad. It was only complete when we included Pat and his service as well. We loved you, Pat, You will be missed by our entire family. God Bless You.Our sincere condolences to you Sandra, Perry, and Dennis. Sandra, thank you for giving me the opportunity to chat with Pat last Remembrance Day. It is a day I will treasure. He was a man full of love and stories and memories will keep him in our hearts forever.
With love

On behalf of Sam and Marge Hrushovetz, their children- Stephen in Winnipeg, Semeon Jr. in Calgary and Marusia and her husband Richard in Toronto, as well as "the boys" as Pat would call Margaret's two brothers-Sam and Wes, please accept our most sincere condolences.
Like Patrick we were snowbirds but our origin for the flights was Winnipeg and not the St. Thomas area of the Niagara peninsula region from were Patric would drive..Our migrations began in 1982 and continued for 25 years. We have many pleasant memories of these trips- enjoying the evening card games of 31, the many breakfasts after the Sunday liturgies many at Pat's cottage. We also took our turns hosting the annual super bowl game dinners in February. Although Anne and Walter Fedorkow would have the largest spread with special dessert items, Marge and Sam with their specialties of salads made with the assistance of Wes, John Civak with his traditional Pizza's (he got off easy ),it was Pat's Italian dishes that we all always looked forward with anticipation.Pat also had his favourite brand of wine for these occasions which he always had spiked with liquor.I even recall the blueJays baseball games that Pat arranged through his grandson that our family specially enjoyed. We all miss you Pat.

Our deepest sympathy to your family. Your dad, (grandfather, great grandfather) was a wonderful man. When he went for his walks, which was daily, he would always stop for a chat or just give us a wave. Queenston Road won't be the same!
We wish you strength and comfort in the days ahead.

Perry, Sandra and Dennis we were saddened by the news of your Dad's passing. Our thoughts are with you and your families at this difficult time. We hope that you are able to find some comfort as you share memories with family and friends. Your Dad had a long life and like our Mom almost made it to 100. We are sorry we are unable to make it down to pay our respects in person.

To(the family of one of the greatest friends my Dad ,Charles Henry (Harry) Miller (deceased )every had.- I remember the many spaghetti dinners with the Feor family as a young child. Pat was without a doubt a loving caring man. After my Grandfather passed away, Pat would come and visit my Grandmother, Dorothea Nichols, once a week they would have their tea and talk about the good ole days.
Memories are the most wonderful thing we can have- I know your family have many memories and will enjoy the years to come missing your dad, grandpa and great-grandpa but you will have the memories to keep you smiling.
My prayers are with your family.

Our family is so sad to here of Pats passing. We will always remember Pat as the special sharing neighbour who always wanted to make sure we came over to fill our baskets with his beautiful tomatoes and beets. Each year my garlic grows and it will keep Pats memory in my heart as he had given me those bulbs to plant. We have missed seeing you Pat since you moved to the nursing home but often talked and thought of you. Pat you are a very special person that myself and my children will never forget. God bless you in your new home.
