Obituary of Donald Patrick Jeffrey

JEFFREY, Donald Passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his first wife Laura (nee Burkley), second wife Caren Bergsma and his beloved son Darren. Devoted step-father of Maria (the late Jim) Elliotson, Linda (the late Bob) Levitt, Lawrence Morabito, Chris (Sharon) Morabito and Andrew Bergsma. Also survived by his younger brother James. Much loved papa to Rob (Cindy), Erin (Derek), Melissa, Kristy (Scott), Joseph and Andrew. Dear great-papa to Logyn, Emma, Meaghan, Brodi, Justin, Brandon, Riley, Ethan, Dayton, Desmond and Aria as well as many nieces and nephews. His special little buddy Winston already misses him. Dad was a plumber, pipefitter and welder with Local 666 until he retired. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and building stockcars with his sons in law. For the last few years he spent his time hitting balls and having coffee with his good friends at Westport Golf. He will be greatly missed by all. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Don's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Saturday October 1, 2016 from 11:00am-1:30pm. A celebration of Donald's life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated by family.
