Obituary of Penny Lailey

LAILEY, Penny Passed away peacefully, with family and friends by her side, on September 19, 2016. Lovingly missed by her siblings Jackie Winterford, Robert (Ebby) Winterford, Joanne Winterford, Shirley (David) Vaillancourt and her Aunt Shirley and Uncle Fred Sharpe. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews and by the "Dream Team". Predeceased by her mother June, father Arthur, and sister Shelly. She was a retired teacher and principal in the District School Board of Niagara, an avid sports enthusiast and world wide traveler. She volunteered her time at various local charities and events, but the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre was closest to her heart. Friends will be welcomed at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on September 22, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. for visitation. A Celebration of Penny's Life will take place on September 23, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre would be appreciated by Penny.
