Obituary of Helen Lawson

LAWSON, Helen Peacefully passed away with her caring family by her side, on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at the age of 90. "Wee Nell" was the youngest and last of the McBennett clan to leave this earth. She was predeceased by her loving husband Philip. Helen will be greatly missed by her daughters Eleanor Allinotte and May (Roy) Chalmers. Loving Nan of Paul, Jamie (Tammy), Kim (Jeff), Joanna (Todd) and great-grandmother to Cole, Olivia, Hayley, Aidan, Sophie and Madyson. Helen will also be missed by many nieces and nephews here and abroad. A special thank you to the palliative care nurses at the NHS- St. Catharines Site. In accordance with Helen's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Celebration of Helen's life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
