Obituary of Edith Constance Haslem

HASLEM, Edith (nee Good) Passed away peacefully after a short struggle on Wednesday, July 27th at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 97. Predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years Henry (2002). Cherished mother of Connie (Robert) Balanowski and Colleen (Wayne) Kershaw, and much loved Grandma of Tim and Todd (Heidi) Balanowski, Nicole and Kurt (Kim) Kershaw, Cindy (Keith) Wilson and Kimberly (James) Duncan. Devoted Great Grandma of Sabrina and Joel Balanowski, Kenedy and Remy Gavanac, Lucas and Liam Kershaw, Owen Duncan, and Aubrey and Riker Wilson. The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Lorraine Jensen and Dr. Romesa Khalid, the nursing staff of the St. Catharines General Hospital and Amy, Kim and Judy at Tufford Manor for providing comfort and their compassionate care. Edith's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday, August 1st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd in the funeral home chapel at 11:30am. Burial to follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Rankin Cancer Run or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
