Obituary of Else Garbacz

GARBACZ, Else (nee Schabler) Passed away peacefully on June 29th at Heidehof Home for the Aged in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Joseph (2008). She will be missed by her much loved children Rick (Marie) Garbacz and Diana (Don) Bonazza. Dearest Nana and Grandmother of Melissa (Jeff), Michael (Melissa), Kelly (Jordan), David, Amanda and Christopher, and cherished Great Grandmother of Lincoln, Audrey, Ben and Coen. She will be missed by her nephews Gary (the late Rose) and Terry (Heather) Russel. Predeceased by her sister Melitta Russel. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff of Heidehof Home for the Aged, especially the 3rd floor nursing staff, and Dr. O'Reilly for their care and compassion. Else's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, July 3rd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, July 4th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street at 11am. Rite of Committal following in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to Heidehof Home for the Aged would be appreciated by the family.
