Obituary of Margaret Kiss

KIS(S), Margaret Passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in her 79th year. Loving wife of George for 57 years. Devoted mother of George Jr. (Kathy Burns) Kis, Suzie "Sue" (Mike) West and William (Pippa Turner) Kis. Loved and remembered by daughters-in-law Lynda Kis and Kim Kis. Cherished grandma and grams of Aileen (Bond) Holden-Kis, Jennifer (Mark) Strauss, Trevor (Agnes) West, Amanda West, Jessica West, Jeffrey West, Jordan Kis, Lindsay Kis, and Erin Kis. Great-grandmother of Maximus and Zachary Strauss. Dear sister of Mary Horvath. Predeceased by her parents John and Mary Maracz and her brother Janos Maracz. Special thanks to her close friend Theresia Lamers for all her support, guidance, love and friendship. Also, the family wishes to express their gratitude to the CCAC, ParaMed and Hospice Niagara teams, Dr. John Ramanauskas and the team at McMaster University ALS Clinic, especially Dr. John Turnbull and Jane Allan. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Sunday, May 29 from 10-12 p.m. A Celebration of Margaret's life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12 p.m. Cremation to follow the ceremony. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Niagara or the ALS Society.
