Obituary of Georgina "Ina" Laird

LAIRD, Georgina Davidson “Ina” Passed away peacefully and has now been reunited with her beloved sister Doris, on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Chateau Gardens; Niagara on the Lake, at the age of 95. She will be sadly missed by her family Angus Fraser (the late Elna), Sandra (Blair) Cowan and Linda (Benno) Sorensen and their children Erin (Shawn), Kim, Sara, Bradley, Jenna and grandchildren Alyvia and Avery. Ina worked at Rennie’s Seeds, McKenzie Seeds and the Toronto Public Library and was also a member of St. Timothy's Anglican Church in Scarborough. Some of Ina’s favourite pastimes included gardening, flowers, reading, crocheting and supporting her Toronto Blue Jays. A special thank you to the caring team at Chateau Gardens for their love and support. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation, at 11:30 a.m.. Cremation to follow the service. Reception will take place after the service for Georgina, in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Niagara on the Lake Communities in Bloom in Ina's honour.
