Obituary of Harry Merakian

MERAKIAN, Harry Passed away peacefully after a lengthy struggle on May 4th at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 90. He leaves behind his loving wife of almost 60 years to Margaret Ann, and sisters Lucy Kirkorian of St. Catharines and Helen (the late Mardig) Aloian of Ransomville, NY. Cherished uncle of Richard (Debra) Aloian of Niagara Falls, NY, Sandra (William) Dompkowski of Ransomville, NY, and Diane (the late Kenneth) Kalagian of St. Catharines. He will be forever missed by his many great nieces and nephews, especially Peter, Joseph, Tiffany, Theresa, Alanna, and Corrina. Son of the late Bedros "Peter" and Siranooh "Sarah". Brother to the late George and Godfather to the late Craig Manoogian. Harry worked for 45 years at General Motors, retiring in 1987. He was a life long fan of the New York Yankees. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. There will be a private inurnment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
