Obituary of Victor Boxall

BOXALL, Victor- Passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2016 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Janet. Cherished father of Vickie (Dennis) Ceci. Step father of Steven (Peggy) Montague, Brian (Moira) Montague and Ken Montague. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Andrew, Kurtis, Warren and Nigel. Brother of Paul (Pauline) Boxall and Bonnie (Don) Lloyd. Predeceased by his parents Bertrum and Mabel Boxall, his sister Margaret (Bruce) Poole and his brothers Donald Boxall and Ronald Boxall. Victor spent many years on the Great Lakes ships and earned the title of Youngest Chief Engineer. His proud accomplishment was launching the Senator of Canada out of Collingwood as the Chief Engineer. Victor was a retired member of DYC and an active boating member at GNBC. He was the owner of Zim-Hyde Products until he retired. His sense of humor and willingness to help will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Cathairnes on Friday, May 6th from 11a.m.- 2p.m. A Celebration of Victor's Life will follow at 2p.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to Salvation Army or a Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family. "Victor has gone to that Big Engine Room in the Sky"
