Obituary of Brian Anthony Fogg

FOGG, Brian Anthony – (October 7, 1939 – May 1, 2016) Passed away peacefully at the Garden City Manor on Sunday May 1st, 2016 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of Diane Fogg (née Nevestuk) for 56 years. Brian was a loving and devoted father to his children Cynthia (Kenneth), Brian (Catherine) and Pamela (John), and kind and doting papa to his treasured grandchildren Vanessa (Rich), Dustin, Dylan, Jennifer, Devin, Jonathan and great grand-daughter Sydney. Brian was predeceased by his parents Arnold and Lilian Fogg and sister Shirley and brother-in-law Arnold Krausen. Born in the town of Bolton, in North West England, Brian travelled to Canada with his parents in the 1950’s. A “Jack of all Trades”, including Certified Industrial Millwright, he worked in various occupations including welder, fitter, fabricator, restaurateur, gas fitter and longshoreman. He retired as the sole proprietor of Ambiance Heating and Cooling. Brian was an avid reader and generous teacher. A talented singer and guitarist Brian enjoyed hosting sing-a-longs both in the family home and around a campfire. He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends who over the years were blessed to know him. The family would like to thank the Nurses at Garden City Manor in St. Catharines for all their compassion and support. In accordance with Brian's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive guests at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Alzheimer’s Society.
